The breakfast buffet at the Sama-Sama Hotel KLIA was a huge and elaborate spread (by the way, they also have great amenities like a gym, garden & function rooms). I went into the restaurant to take a look at what was available.

There were little containers of flavored yogurts that had been kept on ice so that they would remain cool.
The cold cuts selection was also on ice and it was very impressive. There were dishes like smoked salmon and beef Lyonner.
Different kinds of cheese like blue cheese and gruyere were being served with grapes, strawberries, figs and crackers.
Then I went to the salads section where guests could build their own salads with the help of various vegetables and readymade salad dressings.
Options like olives and sundried tomatoes were also available.
Vegetables like carrots, cabbage and cucumbers had been cut into thin strips and were served in bowls with pair of tongs. The cherry tomatoes could be served with a spoon.
The collection of jams and spreads was quite varied.
I loved how there were tiny jam containers that the guests could take for themselves.
Then I went to the bakery section. I could see croissants, pain au chocolat and various other pastries. Everything looked freshly baked and I couldn’t even choose what I wanted to try the most. I was very excited about the baked goodies.
The sugar donuts looked delicious.
There were different kinds of muffins and tea cakes that were also being served.
I loved how the breads, buns and freshly baked rolls were kept in these cute glass boxes. That way the bread stayed fresh but the guests could see exactly what was being offered.
There were different varieties of milk, like full cream and low fat.
There was also a range of choices when it came to the cereals section. The honey star cereal looked interesting.
The hot foods were kept in warming trays. Traditional breakfast items like grilled tomatoes, pancakes and baked beans were being served. A lot of the trays were quickly emptying so I knew that the food must be good.
I also saw many meat options like ham and sausage.
There was an eggs counter where guests could order their eggs made in whatever preparation they liked best.
The soup being served was miso soup.
There were desserts like mochi.
And the fruit pudding cups looked really interesting.
Not only was there a coffee machine to prepare the coffee, there were also pots of warm tea and coffee at the buffet.
There were so many loaves of multicolored bread!
There were options like coconut cookies and chocolate chip cookies. Guests could just take out whichever they wanted from the cookie tins.
Sama-Sama Hotel even had pineapple cookies, which I had never seen before.
There was a noodles section with different kinds of noodles. Guests could pick which kind they wanted.
They could also ask for the toppings and sauces of their choice and the chefs would make the noodles fresh before their eyes. There were toppings like mushroom, tofu, bean sprouts and green onions.
The buffet even had lemon slices, boiled eggs and croutons as toppings.
The fried rice looked so good. It looked like it had a lot of seasoning and flavor and I couldn’t wait to taste it.
The noodles were thin and delicate. There were lots of vegetables in it.
The assorted dim sum and bao section had a lot of interesting and tasty choices.
There were also a lot of indigenous and local dishes like nasi lemak. Everything looked really spicy but also really delicious. I took a little bit of each on my plate.
There was also an Indian food section at the buffet and there was some vadai on one side. They looked like they had been freshly fried.
Condiments like chutneys, pickles, lemon and lime and chilies were all available with the food.
The idli looked very soft and fluffy. They were so soft that it wasn’t easy to pick up and served myself one.
Even food that wasn’t traditional breakfast food, like dal and roti and vegetables had been served.
Then I decided to head towards the fruits section. There were many two people tables at the restaurant. A few tables were full but there were plenty of empty tables.
Fresh fruits like apples, bananas and pears had been served in mesh bowls.
But the hotel staff had also cut up fruit for the convenience of the guests. I saw watermelon, papaya, melon, pears and pineapple. All the cut fruit was served on a bed of ice so that they would remain cool and fresh.
Juices like apple and orange juice as well as fruit punch could be poured from a tap.
The restaurant had many seating options. There were even some sofas and couches in the corner. Right behind that was a huge bar and I could see rows and rows of bottles neatly arranged on the shelves.
