Rose Business Lounge Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City): Nice Place to Spend Time at the Airport
I went to the Rose Business Lounge in Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City for a few hours while I was at the airport there.
There was a list of all the airlines and flights, the banks and the passes that gave anyone access to the lounge. I could see that there were a lot of ways to get into the Rose Business Lounge.
At the very front of the lounge, there was a decorative wall to welcome people inside. It was covered with greenery and plants. Even though they were made of plastic, the wall still looked very pretty and like the perfect place to take a photo.
On the desk, there was a sticker with a note asking all guests to keep their voices down so that they didn’t disturb anyone. There was also a reminder that the gates closed fifteen minutes before departure.
There were already lots of people in the lounge. They were sitting on comfortable leather chairs and there were big windows looking out on the runways. The lounge was bright and well-lit.
I went to take a look at the buffet section. There was some bacon and some sort of Vietnamese vegetable stew with carrots and onions.
I also saw that they had Singapore stir-fried rice noodles with vegetables.
Other options were sausages and roast potatoes with their skins on.
The stir-fried peppers and onions looked simple and light and so did the cabbage.
Other than that, there were boiled eggs and a simple porridge.
Toppings like pork floss, fried shallots and peanuts looked really interesting.
The lounge also had some hot soup.
On another side of the table, the staff had laid out salt, pepper, lemon wedges and lots of different kinds of sauces. There was tomato sauce and spicy chili sauces.
They were also serving fresh fruits like tangerines. The fruit had already been cut into wedges to make it easier for the guests to eat.
The chili salt that I could sprinkle on my food looked tasty.
Bananas and sweet green jujubes were some of the other fruits that they were offering.
There were also some local desserts like the Vietnamese steamed layer cake and red bean sweet soup. I tried a little bit of each.
The fresh green salad had an assortment of lettuce, cabbage, peppers, cherry tomatoes and carrots for guests to choose from.
I saw some egg gimbap and scalloped dumplings right next to the salad. They looked very pretty and aesthetic.
Sauces like vinaigrette and mayonnaise were being served with all the food.
One of the things that interested me the most were the mini croissants. They looked very buttery and flaky and they were topped with some ham, cheese and greens. I served myself one of the croissants and was sure it would taste just as good as it looked.
They also had little individual sized containers of butter in case guests wanted to butter their croissants. The cheese was sliced into thin triangles. It didn’t look like very high quality cheese but guests could still choose to try some if they wanted.
Another plate held thin slices of ham. There was a pair of tongs beside the plate of ham so I could pick up a slice or two for myself.
There was a conveyor toaster beside the bread. It had a list of instructions about how to use it placed right above.
I could see three kinds of bread beside the toaster. There was plain sliced bread, crispy bread rolls and soft bread rolls.
The choices of jam were orange and strawberry. They were placed in little pots and had individual spoons.
Large containers of boiled water sat beside kettles filled with tea and Vietnamese coffee. The tea and coffee was kept warm.
Guests could even choose to have some wine or vodka at the lounge.
There were choices of soda like Pepsi and 7up.
A coffee machine could be used to make coffee.
A freezer held milk and cans of soda.
There were options for two different kinds of cereal and a pot of condensed milk.
Finally, I saw sachets of tea and instant coffee and slices of limes kept on one end of the table.
