I stayed at the Sama-Sama Hotel at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was luxurious and I was very impressed at my first sight of the entrance.
The lobby floors gleamed because of the overhead lights. There were wooden panels on the ceiling and a lot of marble everywhere. There were windows on all sides and I saw little bits of the garden.

On one side there was a small area that was decorated in green and elegant arches had been built.
There were a few people working at the reception. I was astonished at all the plants in the garden. It looked so green and wild!
I looked around the reception area as I waited for my room to be ready. There were lots of comfortable chairs and sofas on all sides so guests could sit down and chat together.
The overhead lamps and chandeliers were very unique. There were designs that I had never seen before and they made the reception area look very elegant.
It was actually such a huge space. And there were some shops and boutiques inside the hotel lobby (they also have a restaurant here where I had a breakfast buffet). Everything that was needed for the convenience of the guests was available at the Sama-Sama Hotel.
Once I was assigned my room, I started walking towards it.
Compared to the grand and sophisticated lobby, the hotel room was actually quite simple. It was still well decorated and had all the necessary amenities but it wasn’t as luxurious as the reception area.
The first thing I saw, as soon as I entered the room, was the closet. One cabinet held an ironing board and an iron so that I could iron my shirts or dresses if I needed to. I wouldn’t need to call housekeeping to ask them for anything.
There was a pair of white bathrobes hanging inside the closet. Extra wooden clothes hangers hung from the rack and would be useful in case I needed to hang up some of my clothes.
The hotel had provided a pair of bedroom slippers to wear around the room. They were soft and comfortable.
At the bottom of the closet I even found a weighing scale!
The locker was kept on a shelf inside the closet. There were instructions above it that showed guests how to use the locker and how to set a code. It would keep my valuables safe.
I also found laundry and dry cleaning bags and the rates for laundry at the hotel.
Sama-Sama had provided a personal paper bag.
The mini bar held a pair of mugs, water bottles and an electric kettle.
I pulled open a drawer and found tea, coffee and sugar sachets along with some water glasses for the use of guests.
The small refrigerator not only had some ice cold water but also cans of juice.
I liked how colorful the room was compared to most hotel rooms. The carpet was blue and the sofa, couch and cushions were brightly colored. There was a double bed with four fluffy pillows. Reading lamps had been fitted on either side of the bed.
A mini bar list gave the prices of the drinks and snacks in my room. Some of the options were soft drinks like Coca Cola and Sprite, juice, and snacks like salted peanuts, chocolate and cookies. It wasn’t the biggest range of mini bar snacks and drinks that I had ever seen. But it was adequate.
There was a small desk and chair which would be perfect to work at. There was a reading lamp on the desk and a big wall mirror made the room look bigger than it was. Under the desk was a wastepaper basket in case I needed to throw something away.
The blinds had been pulled down and the lamps had been lit. It gave the room a cozy feeling.
There was a lovely black and white photograph hanging on one of the bedroom walls.
Then I decided to check out the bathroom, which was really spacious.
One corner of the bathroom had a bathtub with a hand shower. Tiny red tiles added some color to the bathroom which was otherwise decorated in only neutral shades. The hotel staff had folded a bathmat and left it on the edge of the tub.
The bathroom counter was huge and so was the mirror!
All necessities like shower caps, soap and dental kits had been provided. There were also some clean and fluffy hand towels and bath towels.
The toilet area was a little cramped. But otherwise, it was a really nice bathroom.
The hotel staff had even hung up a black and white photograph inside the bathroom. Extra rolls of toilet paper had been provided and there was even an intercom system inside the bathroom.
Finally, I checked out the shower cubicle, which was separate from the bathtub.
