Swimming Pool & Gym of Wanda Reign Hotel Chengdu: So You Can Stay Fit During Your Stay
The swimming pool at the Wanda Reign was indoors.
It was a big, rectangular pool and was tiled with bright blue tiles at the bottom.
There was a very comfortable looking day bed in one corner, with a small table and a clock nearby.
A board with some rules and regulations had been hung up on one of the marble walls.
The rules spoke about how showers were mandatory and guests needed to hydrate.
There was drinking water with some paper cups kept at one end of the room.
The pool looked very blue.
They also had floats for people who weren’t confident swimmers.
I saw a lifeguard’s chair beside that.
Diving wasn’t allowed since the pool wasn’t too deep.
There were walkways along the sides of the pool.
The overhead lights were reflected off the water.
I walked all around the pool, taking photos.
There were big windows on two sides of the room and they looked out at the city.
It was late in the evening and the pool was empty.
None of the hotel guests were swimming when I went to visit.
Then I went to visit the hotel gym because I wanted to see what the Wanda Reign gym looked like (I think you really need to go to this place after you had a big breakfast buffet here.).
The gym had big windows and mirrors on all sides of the room. So it looked even bigger than it actually was.
There were exercise bikes with large screens in front. So guests could watch something while they were exercising.
In one small corner of the room, there were weight benches and leg extension machines.
I looked at the neat rows of dumbbells that had been kept on a rack. They were kept according to their weight, from lightest to heaviest.
The lightest dumbbells were 4kg and the heaviest were 20kg. They were kept in pairs so that guests could easily pick whichever they wanted. I could even see an EZ Curl Bar lying under the racks of dumbbells.
There was a water station on a shelf so that guests could pour themselves some filtered water. A set of paper cups sat beside the water container.
The gym at Wanda Reign was called the Health Club and there was a list of rules and regulations on one wall.
The weight benches could be easily lifted up and pulled down according to the convenience of the person using it.
The leg extension machine sat on one side.
The whole gym had mirrors on all sides so that you could check your form while working out.
There was a big power cage or squat rack at one end. It had big barbells so people could do some strength training.
An interesting piece of equipment was the abdominal machine. It was kept right next to the power cage and was also made by Technogym, like most of the equipment.
There was an air purifier in the room.
It had various settings and was used to make the air in the room feel clean and pure.
One side of the room was filled with cross trainers and elliptical machines.
All the machines seemed to be in perfect working order. I knew that the hotel staff must maintain them very well.
I liked how most of the cardio equipment and bikes had screens so that the guests would not get bored while working out.
There was even a small fridge filled with bottles of water. This was for the use of hotel guests who only drank bottled water.
Some yoga mats and extra dumbbells had been stored on a shelf in one corner of the gym.
There were wooden blocks and other exercise equipment on another shelf.
Everything was kept in a neat manner.
I could also see chest press machines and pull up bars.
Some of the machines had pictures to show which muscles to work out.
Towels and tissue paper had been kept for the use of guests.
The gym was also empty at that time of night.
There was a row of treadmills in front of the windows. They all had screens attached to the front.
There was a weighing machine at the front.
It had a digital screen to display the numbers.
The cable machine was huge!
All the strength training equipment was clustered together.
The gym did feel a little crowded because of all the equipment.
I also saw some exercise balls stored inside.
