Unko Poop Museum Review

There are a lot of unique museums which you can visit in Japan like the teamLab Planets digital museum, but do you know you can also find there a museum dedicated entirely to POOP!

Yup, you heard it right.

It’s not some kind of museum that displaying “historical poop“, it is a funny poop themed park instead.

I was initially went to Odaiba for another “Must See” spot, the giant Gundam located outside the DiverCity Tokyo Plaza shopping mall.

Getting There

Getting to Odaiba Tokyo is not difficult, although I did feel it was a bit far from the city center where most of the best hotels to stay like the Hilton Tokyo Narita Airport Hotel are located.

You may take the Yurikamome line, and reach the nearest Odaiba-kaihinkōen Station.

There was nice sea view while taking the train from Tokyo city to reach here.

Address: Japan, 〒135-0064 Tokyo, Koto City, Aomi, 1 Chome−1−10 ダイバーシティ東京プラザ 2階

Tickets

You may purchase the ticket on the spot at the museum entrance.

Besides, if you would like to prebook the entrance ticket online, it is available on Klook.

My Experience at the Unko Poop Museum

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical as I entered the museum.

A whole place dedicated to poop? Really?

The moment I stepped inside, skepticism turned into curiosity.

The place is a riot of colors and shapes, with poop emojis, icons and decorations at every corner.

You can see my video below what’s inside the poop museum.

Before that, the staff will give you a brochure introducing the Unko museum.

I personally like to keep the brochure so that I will have enough time to read it again when I am free at home!

After entering the museum, the friendly staff let me to choose and sit on either toilet bowl I like.

There are many toilet bowls with different colors available!

See my pictures below, which one is your favourite toilet bowl?

and more toilet bowls…

And at last, I chose the purple color toilet bowl.

The staff let me to sit on the toilet bowl, and request us to pretend that we were shitting!

After that, my own poop was ready!

Yes, that’s right, the Gray color poop was mine!

My friend chose the gray color toilet bowl and his poop was purple color.

That was opposite color compared to my choice!

Yup, it sounds weird but poop being kawaii is quite mind-blowing.

Read the image below about the explanation why poop is kawaii.

I never thought I’d say this, but it’s surprisingly cute.

Next up was the Poop Icons Room – a place where you can take photos with poops as your background.

I did not take a photo with this but I did let my poop to take a picture with them.

Moving on, I encountered some funny and impressive poop-themed art.

And don’t forget to take a photo with the Toilet signs.

There are some other interesting events going on, for example the “Count Down” and waiting for the poop!

I believe it would be fun for kids.

If there’s one thing you absolutely must experience, it’s the Poop neon lights road.

Imagine a hallway bathed in neon lights, with poop emojis hanging from the ceiling in all the colors.

Unko museum decorations are like a blast of fun in your face.

Cartoon poop icons and toys are all over the place, turning the whole place into a laugh riot.

The poop decorations are alive with vibrant colors, making the whole experience way cooler.

If you thought the Unko Poop Museum is not too unique, enter the Unko Mart.

This isn’t your ordinary souvenir shop; it’s a mart dedicated to all things poop-related.

The Unko Mart offers an array of poop-themed food and drinks that goes beyond the ordinary.

Want to have some chips? Try the UnChips, the poop-shaped chips.

Conclusion

So there you have it – my day at Tokyo’s Unko Poop Museum.

It’s not my typical museum experience, but the poops are what makes it so special that day.

If you’ve already been to places like the Meiji Jingu, Asakusa and the Imperial Palace in Tokyo and are looking for a different experience for your next Japan trip, this museum should definitely be on your list.

The Unko Poop Museum manages to take something as basic as poop and turning it into a source of laughter and of course, creativity.

If you’re ever in Tokyo and want to spice up your day with something out of the ordinary, give the Unko Poop Museum a shot.
