I’m gonna be honest. When I planned my visit here in Japan, my expectation for my stay at the Hilton Narita Hotel was not really that high. I’d always thought that my stay there would be uneventful. For the most part that was the case. However, I also didn’t have much to complain about. I think my breakfast experience at the Hilton Narita Hotel Restaurant best encapsulates my stay there.
My Breakfast Experience at Hilton Narita Hotel
If you’re looking for an opulent breakfast experience then you might want to go elsewhere. With that said, the breakfast here is by no means bad. This is a hotel aimed at what I call transitory visitors/travelers but in no way does it skimp on its breakfast offerings.

The selection at the bread section was decent though it would have been great if they offered some sourdough bread or maybe baguettes. Regardless, these breads were just right and I could totally see people enjoying these for their breakfasts.
So here’s something that you don’t see quite often. Noodles for breakfast! These were honestly tempting and I actually decided to get some. And yes, they tasted great!
What breakfast would be complete without meat? Here are a sizable amount of sausages as well as what looks to be American bacon.
Since this is Japan, of course the hotel would also offer white rice for breakfast! I initially didn’t want to get rice as I already had noodles but then I decided to just get a little (like not even a full cup).
While I’m not a big fan of salads, I thought what the hotel offered here was actually decent. The lettuce looked like it was still fresh and the tomatoes looked particularly juicy and had this rich gloss to them.
There were also these cold soba noodles that I actually wanted to try out. Since I already had the noodles I got earlier, I decided to just check what else was available.
In this picture we have some condiments/sauces, shredded veggies, and sliced fruits. The lychee here looked really appetizing but I wasn’t too keen on eating fruits that morning so I decided I’ll just try them out some other time.
More fruits for people who want some color in their breakfast. Again, decided to not get fruits at this time.
Although I’m a meat-eater at heart, the deli meat section here wasn’t really to my liking. Maybe it was because the selection wasn’t really that impressive? I’m not really sure but I did see people lining up for these so it might just be a “me” thing.
Now the pancakes were actually quite nice and as you can see in this picture, were still warm.
For some reason I had a hankering for greens and the broccoli looked really appetizing. At this point I was so fixated on it I forgot about the other items here…
That is, until I saw these scrumptious-looking meatballs. I decided to not get too much though since I felt like my plate was already getting quite full.
Well you’d think that I’d now be sitting down to eat but no sir. I saw these fried spring rolls and I knew I just had to get at least one. And then…
Are these chicken tenders that I spy with my eyes? I reckoned since I already had my carbs, now would be a great time for some more protein. In the end I got a tender and some scrambled eggs.
Remember when I said earlier that I got some rice. Well, here’s what happened to that. I made some ochazuke!
Here’s where I got the toppings for my ochazuke. There’s actually a nice selection that ranges from pickled veggies/fruits to even nori. Once you choose what you’d like to go on the rice, you just then need to pour some broth on it and your ochazuke is done.
The whole thing is pretty simple to make and there’s this handy signage with instructions on how to come up with one in English.
Here’s what I ended up getting. It might not look like much but believe me this was actually a really delicious meal. Sure it’s not the kind that you’d probably write a book about but it was at least good enough to brighten up my morning.
Of course, breakfast won’t be complete without drinks. Here were some of the juices that I came across while I was picking my food earlier.
If you want your juices to be a lot cooler (literally), then this ice dispenser will be your best friend.
Not too keen on juices but still want something cool and sweet? There’s also a dispenser for soft drinks. Take note though that they mostly had Coca-Cola produced beverages.
I’m not a big fan of cold drinks in the morning so my immediate instinct was to get coffee instead. Thankfully the restaurant’s coffee machine could also dispense Cafe Latte!
Like I said earlier, Hilton Narita Hotel’s Restaurant is good enough. It’s not the best but it’s also not bad either. It’s in this middle-ground where you can get food that’s filling but that you’ll also probably forget especially if you’re eating out (there’s another restaurant here – The Hilton Narita Terrace Restaurant and I assure you, the food there is amazing!). If you’re already staying at the Hilton Narita then I’d definitely consider getting breakfast at the Restaurant (since you know, that’s already included in your stay).
